This is the official home page of the Southern African Wingshooters Association -- the only national bird hunting and shooting association in South Africa with SAPS accreditation as a Hunting Association in terms of the Firearms Control Act. On this site, our members are provided with information about the new Firearms Control Act, how to apply for a firearm licence, how to get a gundog puppy, how to set about training it, who's who in wingshooting, how to become a 'Dedicated Hunter' and much more. Each quarter, the 'Wingshooter' glossy magazine features the most important fixtures on the bird hunting calendar and lists many exclusive shooting venues which have been secured for members only. Hot news and current events and more details of private shooting venues for members are reported on in the Wingshooter eZine, which is e-mailed to members.
